1870's Spiders

The club was formed in 1867 and played their first competitive game in 1868.Queens Park were the pioneers of Scottish football playing many exhibition games throughout Britain!
















The first meeting of the "Auld Enemy" - Scotland v England took place in 1872.Not only was the entire Scotland squad made up of Queens players but the traditional club kit was worn as well.4,000 spectators saw the 0-0 draw!
















Queens held the Scottish FA Cup between 1874 and 1882.They won it a further four times,the last occasion being 1893. They twice reached the English FA Cup Final in 1884 and 1885 losing to Blackburn Rovers on both occasions.
